Cabbie Gets Coy
Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate came in and said he noticed something funny about Cabbie ever since he got out of rehab.
He goes around the station introducing himself to people he doesn't know as "Lee." He does that to all the new interns and some of the sales and office staff he doesn't know. Gary said that Cabbie used to call himself Crazy Cabbie to everyone and now he doesn't.
Cabbie said that's part of his rehabilitation process, that he has to realize that his Cabbie persona is different from Lee. Cabbie said he has to learn not to act out so much and that Cabbie is the nutty side of his personality. Artie suggested splitting the difference and calling himself Leebie.
Cabbie changed the subject to the new tattoo he got of a giant coy fish on his arm. He said he had his favorite tattoo artist, Mario Barth, do it and it came out great. Howard was pretty impressed at how good it looked. Howard wanted to know where Cabbie was in regards to his court case for tax evasion? Cabbie said that the charges against him are more serious than he thought and he will find out if he's going to jail or not on March 24th.
He asked Tom Chiusano if he could still do his radio show from jail if it came down to it but Tom said he doubts the jail would let him do that, even if he agreed to it. In the meantime, Cabbie said he's planning on sponsoring another Indy 500 car this year. Artie said that's what he loves about Cabbie.
If it were him facing a jail sentence Artie would be consumed by that thought, but Cabbie is already making future plans regardless.
